A Deep-Tech Program at a World-Class Research University
Yodo Labs, the applied AI research division of PixelX Inc., has been named one of the "Dynamic Dozen" — twelve deep-tech ventures selected from 29 countries — by OIST Innovation at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST).
The program is purpose-built for science-driven founders working on technologies rooted in fundamental research. Held on the campus of one of the world's most research-intensive graduate universities, participants gain direct access to OIST's facilities, faculty, and innovation ecosystem.
Selected from 29 Countries
The 2024 cohort was chosen through a rigorous multi-stage process from applicants spanning 29 countries. Being named one of twelve finalists is a recognition of the strength and potential of our research-driven approach to solving APAC-specific AI challenges.
The intensive program covered market opportunity identification, customer discovery, value proposition development, and culminated in a pitch competition judged by an international panel of technologists and investors.
Why This Matters for Our Mission
OIST represents exactly the kind of institution we believe is critical to advancing deep tech in the Asia-Pacific region — world-class research with a commitment to translating science into real-world impact. Participating in this program reinforced our conviction that the problems we work on — language infrastructure, document intelligence, and trust systems for APAC markets — are both technically deep and commercially significant.
We extend our gratitude to OIST Innovation, the Okinawa Prefectural Government, and the Global Bioconvergence Center of Innovation (COI-NEXT) for making this program possible.
